My Dream Spec — DB12 in Satin Racing Green
I took delivery of my DB12 three months ago, specified exactly as the configurator shows — Ω Satin Aston Martin Racing Green, Gloss Black upper package, 21" Y-spoke Satin Bronze wheels, and the Inspire Sport Duotone interior. The car is even more stunning in person than on the configurator. The Satin paint shifts dramatically in different light conditions, from deep forest green to almost black. Driving the DB12 is an event. The 680 PS V8 starts with a thunderous bark and settles into a menacing idle. In Sport+ mode, the throttle response is razor-sharp and the exhaust crackles on overrun. The Carbon Ceramic brakes have saved me twice already in Mumbai traffic. The Bowers & Wilkins audio is sublime — I find myself taking the long way home just to listen to music. Only minor gripes: the rear seats are unusable for adults (but perfect for my briefcase), and I have to plan routes carefully to avoid steep speed breakers. But every time I walk up to it and see those Satin Bronze wheels against the Racing Green paint, my heart skips. A masterpiece.

The World's First Super Tourer — Aston Martin DB12 Review
The Aston Martin DB12 is not merely an evolution of the DB11 — it is a revolution that redefines the grand tourer category. The hand-built 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 delivers a staggering 680 PS and 800 Nm, propelling this 1,685 kg coupe to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and on to a 325 km/h top speed. The 8-speed automatic is flawlessly responsive, with column-mounted Satin Silver paddles clicking with mechanical precision. The chassis is a masterclass — bonded aluminium structure with adaptive damping offering GT, Sport, Sport+ and Individual modes. The Carbon Ceramic Brakes provide immense, fade-free stopping power. The steering is perfectly weighted, and the electronic rear differential with torque vectoring makes the DB12 feel far more agile than its grand tourer dimensions suggest. Inside, the transformation from DB11 is dramatic. The Inspire Sport Duotone interior in Bitter Chocolate and Sage Green is breathtaking. The Dark Brushed Aluminium trim, SUTG steering wheel, and Mirrored Stitching elevate the cabin to art. The Bowers & Wilkins 1,170W audio system with 15 speakers and Dolby Atmos is the finest in-car sound system we have experienced. The 10.25" touchscreen with wireless CarPlay and the 12.3" digital cluster are finally competitive with modern rivals. At ₹4.55 Crore ex-showroom, the DB12 commands a significant premium. But it delivers an experience no other GT can match — combining ferocious performance, exquisite craftsmanship, and cutting-edge technology in a package of devastating beauty. The DB12 is not just the world's first super tourer — it is the finest Aston Martin ever made.
