The Isuzu MU-X is a refreshingly honest SUV in a world of soft-roaders. The 1.9L Ddi VGS Turbo diesel may only produce 163 PS, but the 360 Nm of torque delivered from 2,000 rpm gives it genuine grunt. The 6-speed automatic with Adaptive Grade Logic is smooth and intelligent, holding gears on inclines and using engine braking on descents.
Where the MU-X truly shines is off-road. The Terrain Command 4x4 system with shift-on-the-fly (up to 100 km/h) and low-range gearing makes it virtually unstoppable. The ladder frame chassis, penta-link rear suspension, and 230 mm ground clearance laugh at terrain that would strand soft-roaders. The underbody steel protection means you can tackle trails with confidence.
